Ombak KLCC already let the public in on Friday 21 August 2026. The official opening is a week later: Friday 28 August, the start of Merdeka weekend, when several delayed tenants and the first real event cluster switch on together.
The distinction matters if you showed up on Day 1 and found empty units. The Nintendo and Pokémon Center pop-ups on Level 3 were fitted out but are not selling until 12 September. Several F&B names on the published directory — HEYTEA, DONKAI, Zaitoun, Nara Thai among them — were still listed as coming soon. 28 August is when the mall treats itself as open, not when every lot is trading.

From Saturday 29 August the rooftop becomes Pesta Kopi Merdeka (29–31 August). Galeri PETRONAS The First Glimpse preview is already on the ground floor from the soft launch.
How to do opening weekend without wasting the trip
Arrive via Persiaran KLCC MRT (PY21) Exit C if you can. The concourse is where Pasar Seloka and Kenangan sit, so you hit the market before the atrium. SANG is on the third floor. KLIF is Ground. Pesta Kopi is the roof from Saturday — late afternoon is the comfortable slot, and Merdeka Eve (Sunday 30 August) is the fireworks-watching night.
Typical mall hours after opening are about 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM; confirm on the day. Basement parking is the on-site lot (four levels, roughly 450 bays); Suria KLCC next door is the overflow if Ombak is full.
