CIMB Artober 2026 occupies Level 1 of Ombak KLCC from Wednesday 28 October through Sunday 1 November. Five days, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, free to walk in. CIMB Group sent that diary listing to BERNAMA on 12 October. The Malaysian Reserve ran the same window a day later. This is the first year the fair sits in the new mall on Persiaran KLCC, not at MITEC.
The photos on this page are of Ombak itself. The fair has not opened yet, so there is no honest picture of the 2026 booths. The building is the one you will actually enter. The rooftop above Level 1 looks straight at the Twin Towers. Galeri PETRONAS is already trading on the ground floor of the same podium. That is the geography. Press artworks of Ultraman still-lifes and cartoon invasions are not.
What 2026 actually names
More than 20 galleries. Art talks. A MERCY Malaysia charity auction. The Pahang Pavilion returns with tenun. That is the CIMB briefing, reprinted by BERNAMA, ExpatGo and KL Happenings. Named artists in that briefing are Fawwaz Sukri, whose Invasion Series drops American cartoon figures into Persian miniature scenes, and photographer Eiffel Chong, including factory still-lifes and Rovski Art Initiative work. G13 Gallery has gone further than the press sheet. It posted Booth A2 at Ombak with Cedrick Dela Paz and Demi Padua.
CIMB has not published a full 2026 gallery directory the way it did for last year's MITEC edition. Treat those names as the locked set. Do not import 2025 counts. That fair was three days in a convention hall. This one is five days in a mall that opened in August and is still filling lots. Malay Mail put occupancy around 30 percent at the 28 August official opening. Level 1 is the floor office workers from the towers actually use after lunch. Five free evenings there is a real use of empty frontage.
Stack it with Galeri PETRONAS, then leave before the gallery clock
The same building already has a gallery. The First Glimpse preview runs through 31 March 2027 at lots G-19, 3-19 and 4-13. Memory and the Malaysian Identity is the mini show on that floor. Galeri hours are not the mall clock. Tuesday to Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday to 6:30 PM, closed Mondays, last entry 30 minutes before close. The mall operator's First Glimpse event page still prints daily 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Trust the gallery visit page. If you show up at 8pm for Artober, the gallery door is already locked.
Artober's five days are Wednesday to Sunday. No Monday in the run, which is lucky, because Galeri is shut Mondays anyway. Do the preview first. Then go upstairs. The fair still has four hours after Galeri closes.
How to get in without guessing the lot
Plaza Ombak KLCC, 20 Persiaran KLCC. Persiaran KLCC MRT on the Putrajaya Line, station PY21, is the door. The operator getting-here page lists 427 parking bays. Galeri's visit page says about 450. Pay the gantry, not a blog. Mall hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, which matches Artober's printed window.
G13's Booth A2 is the only booth number I can lock today. Everyone else is Level 1. An October roundup on this site also printed lot 1-01. CIMB's briefing does not. I am not repeating the lot as fact.
Offset by KLIF on the ground floor ends 30 October, two days into Artober. Pokémon and Nintendo on Level 3 run through 31 December. None of that is the fair. It is what the rest of Ombak is doing while Level 1 is full of galleries.
Urban Marketplace is already trading on the lower floors. If you only have one trip, that is the grocery run after the booths, not a picture of Artober. The mall is still a mix of finished lots and empty ones. Come for the fair. Eat where the shutters are actually up.
