Saya Seekor Dinosaur by IMMERSIOx is still at Ombak KLCC on 1 September, and the Merdeka ticket is RM5. Filamen, the organiser, posted the cut-price window as 27 August to 1 September 2026, 10am to 10pm, at Lots 8-01 and 8-02. After that, expect the usual ticket. If you have been putting this off for Pokémon weekend, this is a different reason to come in this week.
What the room actually does
This is not a walk-through of animatronic dinosaurs. IMMERSIOx is an interactive projection show. You colour a dinosaur drawing, then watch that drawing move on a screen inside a Nusantara-styled prehistoric set. Filamen names the visual work as Eugene Foo of Wild Wonder Works. That is the hook for kids who will sit still for ten minutes of crayons, and for adults who want something quieter than the rooftop coffee crush of Merdeka weekend.
TheSmartLocal listed the same lots, hours, and RM5 Merdeka price on 28 August. Filamen's Facebook post is the primary source for the artist credit and the "RM5 for ALL" line. When those two disagree later, trust Filamen. As of 31 August both still match.
Why it sits on Level 8 of a half-open mall
Ombak KLCC opened to the public on 21 August and held its official opening on 28 August. Malay Mail, reporting from the Jiwa Merdeka launch, put occupancy at about 30 percent, with more tenants due in the coming months. That is why the upper floors still feel empty in places. Lots 8-01 and 8-02 are high in the building, close to the cultural floors that Galeri PETRONAS will eventually fill. The gallery's "First Glimpse" preview is already running. The full Galeri PETRONAS fit-out is still aimed at late 2027.
If you come only for dinosaurs, budget extra time for the walk. The mall has six retail levels plus a sky garden. Persiaran KLCC MRT (PY21) is the closest station, about a two-minute walk through the underground link. KLCC LRT (KJ10) at Suria is the longer covered walk via KLCC Park. Car parking is four basement levels, about 450 bays. Overflow is Suria KLCC next door, a different operator and a different tariff.
What else is on if you miss 1 September
Offset by KLIF stays on Ground Floor lots G-08 to G-10 until 1 October. Matcha Walk takes the concourse 16 to 20 September. The Nintendo pop-up and Malaysia's first Pokémon Center pop-up open 12 September and run to 31 December, with PokéXciting! in KLCC Park on 12 and 13 September. Those are separate tickets and queues. Do not treat the dinosaur room as a substitute for the Pokémon stores. It is a short, cheap add-on while the mall is still filling in.

I would go on 1 September only if you already planned a KLCC errand. RM5 is the reason, not the architecture. After 1 September, check Filamen or IMMERSIOx socials before you ride the lift to Level 8. Promotional prices in new malls have a habit of reverting without a second press note.
