Pokémon Center and Nintendo Pop-Up Stores Open Today at Ombak KLCC: Queue and Ticket Guide
Malaysia's first Pokémon Center pop-up store and the country's first Nintendo pop-up store open their doors at Ombak KLCC on Saturday, 12 September 2026. Both stores will trade through 31 December as part of Pokémon's 30th anniversary celebrations in Southeast Asia.
Access is ticketed. Queues open at 6am at the Level G main entrance, and entry tickets are distributed from 8am onwards. Each ticket is valid for one person and cannot be transferred, and distribution ends once the daily limit is reached. Organisers warn that queuing or gathering before 6am can result in disqualification.
The Pokémon Company has confirmed that no Pokémon trading card game products will be sold at the pop-up on opening day, though this could change over the store's run. The store at L3-15 stocks official plushies, toys, apparel and 30th anniversary collectibles, while the Nintendo pop-up carries games and character merchandise, including exclusive Mario designs made for Malaysia.
Visitors who skip the store queue can head to neighbouring KLCC Park, where the PokéXciting! celebration runs all day. The PokéXciting! Parade runs twice, from 1.30pm to 2pm and from 6pm to 6.30pm. Pikachu dance shows are scheduled at 2pm, 2.30pm and 6.45pm, with a special night show from 7.40pm to 8.10pm, and a drone show closes the night from 9pm to 9.10pm.
Booths in the park hand out sun visors, Pokéscape and Pokémon Kids TV items from 2pm to 7.30pm, and a Pokémon Go booth operates from 10am to 7.30pm. Organisers advise taking the Putrajaya MRT line to Persiaran KLCC station, which sits directly across from Ombak KLCC.
Updates on the pop-up stores, including any change to the trading card policy, will be posted on @nintendopopupkl2026 on Instagram.
