Malaysia is about to get two major gaming retail experiences for the first time, as KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd (KLCCH) has officially partnered with The Pokémon Company to bring both a Nintendo Pop-Up Store and a Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store to Ombak KLCC. Nintendo Pop-Up Store

The Nintendo Pop-Up Store in Malaysia will carry official merchandise from popular Nintendo franchises, with products sourced from Japan alongside the latest releases. Shoppers can also find exclusive merchandise featuring Mario and friends in colorful artwork designs — items that are typically only available at Nintendo stores in Japan and select locations worldwide.

For fans of iconic Nintendo franchises such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon, this is a rare opportunity to browse and purchase authentic Nintendo goods without traveling overseas. The pop-up store promises a curated selection that captures the charm and creativity that Nintendo is known for.

Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store

Meanwhile, the Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store will stock Pokémon Center Original merchandise, trading cards, plush toys, and the latest releases. Special merchandise marking the franchise's 30th anniversary will also be available, making this an especially exciting time for collectors and fans of the beloved franchise.

As part of the Pokémon 30th Anniversary Tour hitting seven Asian cities including Kuala Lumpur, the pop-up store will offer limited-edition items commemorating three decades of Pokémon. Visitors can expect exclusive plush toys, apparel, stationery, and collectibles that celebrate the franchise's rich history from its origins in 1996 to the present day.

Gaming Experience Booth

A gaming experience booth will also be set up in collaboration with Nintendo, giving visitors the chance to try out featured Nintendo titles and Pokémon games firsthand. This interactive addition makes the pop-up experience more than just a shopping destination — it's a celebration of gaming culture and community.

Plan Your Visit

Both the Nintendo Pop-Up Store and Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store will be located at Ombak KLCC, Kuala Lumpur's newest luxury shopping destination situated in the heart of the KLCC precinct. The stores will be open from September 12 through the end of December 2026.

Given the expected high demand for exclusive merchandise, visitors are encouraged to plan their trips early. With Ombak KLCC's direct connection to the Persiaran KLCC MRT station and its proximity to the Petronas Twin Towers, getting there is convenient via public transport or car.
